Express FC have completed the signing of goalkeeper Martin Senkooto on a one year contract, Swift Sports reliably confirms.
The former SC Villa shot stopper has been a free agent after leaving UPDF FC when his short term contract expired.
He is expected to take up the club’s first choice slot in goal following the departure of Dennis Otim who joined URA FC.
Senkooto made his Uganda Premier League debut during the 2020/21 season while at SC Villa and subsequently garnered plaudits after his impressive exploits.
He however left the Jogoos at the start of last season when his initial contact expired and a compromise for a possible renewal wasn’t reached.
He thereafter had a brief stint at Arua Hill but ditched the embattled Arua club and joined UPDF FC on a six month contract.
The former Super Cubs Soccer Academy keeper is touted as one of the best young keepers in the topflight and his move to Express might prove a huge bargain for the Red Eagles.
The James Odoch coached side already announced the signing of Seif Batte as their first official signing.
As already reported, Express also signed defender Ashraf Mbaziira from Kajjansi United, Isaac Wagoina from Busei FC, Emma Wasswa on loan from KCCA among others.
