Uganda Premier League newbies NEC FC are set to complete the signing of midfielder Enock Ssebagala on a two year contract.
Ssebagala’s contract with Express FC expired at the end of the previous campaign and opted not to renew.
He has been training with NEC FC and took part in their friendly games against SC Villa and Tanzania’s Kagera Sugar last week.
Ssebagala joined Express at the start of the 2019/20 season after his impressive exploits in the Futsal Super League with Yeak Kabowa.
He was part of the squad that won the league title under Wasswa Bbosa in 2021 as well as the CECAFA Club Cup in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Ssebagala is expected to join NEC alongside left back Joseph Dhata who was also part of the Express squad last season.
NEC FC have so far unveiled goalkeepers Samson Kirya and Ismail Maganda, defenders Ronald Owiny, John Paul Ocire, Kevin Tah Barni, midfielder Allan Mugalu and strikers Brian Kayanja and Isaac Balyejusa.
