The Minister for Youth, Sports and Arts Salongo Robert Sserwanga has revealed the dates and Venue for the 2023 Bika football and Netball final.
This year’s final will be played on Saturday, 26th August at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
Owek. Sserwanga confirmed that his Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will grace the final. The minister made the development during a press briefing at Bulange on Monday morning.
“The 49th edition of the Bika Bya’baganda will be played on 26th August at Wankulukuku. I assure the Kingdom that his Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will grace the final.”
“We are currently at the Semifinal stage and I call everyone to go and watch the games at Wankulukuku.” Said Owek. Sserwanga.
Hajji Sulaiman Magala the Bika organizing committee chairman stated that preparations are underway for the final
“Like the Minister has stated, preparations for the final are underway and now the onus is one everyone to make sure we have a great climax. I thank the managers, coaches and players for the tremendous role towards the competition.” Said Magala
The competition started in May this year with 43 clans taking part.
In Football the competition is at the Semifinal stage which will kickoff today at Wankulukuku Stadium whereas Ngeye and Nyonyi Nyange will contest for the Netball final.
