Isma Mugulusi completes move to Portuguese second division side

Uganda Cranes attacking midfieder Isma Mugulusi has joined Portuguese side Clube Desportivo Feirense.

Mugulusi has been featuring for Greek Super League 2 side Makedonikos Football Club which he joined from SC Villa last year after recovering from a knee injury.

He was a key member of Morley Byekwaso’s team that won silver at the TotalEnergies CAF U-20 championships in Mauritania.

The former Busoga United player has also been summoned in the provisional 33 Uganda Cranes squad to prepare for the AFCON Final game against Niger.

His new club Feirense, is a Portuguese football club based in Santa Maria da Feira. Founded on 18 March 1918, Feirense play in the LigaPro, the second tier of Portuguese football. Their chairman is Kunle Soname and their manager is Filipe Martins. The club plays its home matches at the Estádio Marcolino de Castro, with a capacity of 5,500 spectators.

He becomes the third Ugandan to feature for Feirense after William Kizito Luwagga and Alex Kakuba. Mustafa Kizza is the other Ugandan player to featured in Portugal.
