SC Villa issue injury update on Denis Ojara amid fears he’s set for lengthy spell out

SC Villa have confirmed Denis Ojara has suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament.

The versatile player sustained the injury during SC Villa’s 2-1 win over Maroons FC in the FUFA Super 8 Pre-season tournament last week at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Ojara who was making his debut for the club scored in that very game before he was forced off in the second half.

He is now expected to undergo a surgery before he returns to action.

But it’s feared the versatile player will be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines as a result.

“Forward Denis Ojara suffered a Complete tear of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament(ACL)[Grade 3] during our fixture at Home against Maroons in the FUFA Super 8.”

“A Surgery will be required for him to return to Action.” Read a brief statement from the club

Ojara joined the 16 time Uganda Premier league champions on a two year employment contract from Onduparaka FC.

He has also previously featured for Lugazi Municipal and Friends FC in the Regional league before joining Vipers SC and Tooro United.
