Goalkeeper Michael Lutaaya was the hero as Ngoonge stormed the Bika football final after beating Nsenene 9-8 on penalties at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The two sides were level 2-2 on aggregate in the two legged Semifinal.
In the return leg, Ngoonge captain Emmanuel Wasswa fired his side in the lead from a perfectly taken penalty in the first period.
The lead shortlived as SC Villa’s Edward Masembe spectacularly levelled matters to send the Nsenene faithfuls including Lubaga North Member of Parliament Abubaker Kawalya into a frenzy.
Suddenly the winner was to be determined from 12 yards after normal time.
Ngoonge’s Lutaaya saved two penalties and scored the winner to send Ayala Luyinda coached side into the final.
In the final, Ngoonge will fight for space on the Bika Shield with Ibrahim Kirya coached Mbogo on the 26th August at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
On the same day, Nsenene will lock horns with Omutima Omusagi to determine who finishes third.
