Kampala Queens have to win their game against Ethiopia’s CBE FC to save their fate in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers at Njeru.

The Ugandan champions complicated their situation in Group A after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Buja Queens in their most recent game.

CBE currently lead the group table with six points while Kampala Queens and Buja Queens have three points each.

Buja Queens will in the final two games face South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars and Djibouti’s FAD FC who are virtually the punching bags of the group which implies Kampala Queens should also win their final two games starting with today’s encounter against the Ethiopian giants.

Coach Charles Senyange Kadidi says his charges are ready for the task after recovering from the defeat to Buja Queens.

” The only mentality we have is to fight foot and nail because it’s a do and die. All the players are focused and everybody in the camp is gelling well. We are injury free so it is just a matter of kick off.” He said in the pre-match interview.

He is expected to make a couple of changes in the line up from the one that featured in the previous game.

CBE have previously faced Ugandan sides in the previous two editions, Lady Doves in 2021 and She Corporate in 2022 in Tanzania.

They beat Lady Doves in a penalty shoot out but lost 2-1 to She Corporate a year later courtesy of Phiona Nabbumba and Anitah Namata.

The early kick off the day will be between the bottom placed sides FAD FC and Yei Joint Stars while Buja Queens have a rest day.

Friday fixtures
• FAD FC vs Yei Joint Stars – 1 PM
• Kampala Queens vs CBE FC – 4 PM
