“We are not in the CAF Champions league for charity” Dr.Lawrence Mulindwa to Vipers Players

Vipers SC owner Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa has encouraged his troops ahead of their first CAF Champions league Preliminary round against Jwaneng Galaxy on Sunday.

On his visit to the team before their departure to Botswana, Mulindwa told the players to go and play with purpose and intention. He also told them that they are not in the competition for charity.

“Everybody is aware and focused do a very important championship. This is what we always fight for, to become number one in the League so that we can play in the champions league.”

“We are starting this campaign not for charity that we are representing Uganda as Vipers and that’s all. No ! We must know it goes beyond that. Each stage and step you reach can change your life. Let us remain focused and play with purpose and intention.” Stated Mulindwa.

He also thanked everyone who did a tremendous role in Vipers’ double winning season(2022/23).

Last season, the Venoms went all the way into the group stages of the CAF Champions league.

The team safely landed in Botswana on Friday evening.
