Denmark second tier side AC Horsens has officially parted ways with Ugandan winger Rogers Mugisha after eight months.

The club announced that the two parties agreed to terminate the contract with immediate effect.

Mugisha joined Horsens in January this year on a two and half year contract from Kenyan giants Gor Mahia FC.

Mugisha garnered interest from several clubs including AC Horsens after his superb performance with the Uganda Hippos in the AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt last year.

He left Gor Mahia after winning the 2022/23 Kenya Premier League title with Gor Mahia but found it hard to earn playing time at AC Horsens.

Mugisha played on four competitive games in the seven months he spent with AC Horsens, one in the League and three in the Future Cup.

He is also a former Mbarara City Junior Team player and also played for UPDF FC in the Uganda Premier League.

Mugisha was also part of the Cubs squad that represented Uganda at the 2018 AFCON tournament in Tanzania.
