The 2024/25 Pepsi University Football League season will officially kickoff on Tuesday, 17th September 2024.
The tournament will comprise of 23 University teams with Muteesa I Royal University making their debut.
During the group stage draw held on Thursday at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo, the 23 teams were grouped in six groups.
Reigning champions Nkumba University are in group A alongside Busitema University, Islamic University in Uganda and ISBAT.
Makerere University are in group B with Kumi University, Ndejje University and Victoria University.
Group C has Uganda Christian University, Kabale University, St. Lawrence University and YMCA.
Kampala University, Gulu University, Bugema University and Kampala International University are in group D.
Group E has Uganda Martyrs, Muni University, International University of East Africa and University of Kisubi.
Makerere University Business School, Mbarara University of Science and Technology and debutants Muteesa 1 are in Group F.
Uganda Christian University will host the opening game on 17th September with a yet unidentified opponent in group C.
Nkumba who were to host the opener but since they will be taking part in the Africa University championships due in Lagos during that time, UCU will now host the opener.
