Vipers SC have mutually agreed to terminate the employment contract of Ivorian striker Ahmed Desire Tety, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

The Ivorian joined the Venoms in January this year on a two year employment contract.

Tety leaves Vipers SC without scoring a single goal for the club during his time at Kitende. He only managed to play three league games last season.

He was however part of Vipers’ double winning squad for the 2022/23 season.

Besides Vipers SC, Tety has previously featured for Kuwait sides Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Sahel (2019/20), Al-Jahra SC (2020/21), Al-Shabab in the 2021/22 season and Tunisian side EO Sidi Bouzid.

The development comes at the time when Brazilian striker Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez confirmed his departure at the club after just two months.

Vipers are reportedly set to sign former Express FC and El-Merreikh striker Erick Kenzo Kambale.

They will begin their title defense away to David Mutono’s side Gaddafi FC on 17th September.
