Uganda Premier league giants SC Villa have unveiled Uganda Cranes defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri as their latest signing.
Kizito returns to SC Villa on a three year employment contract as earlier reported by this website.
He re-joins the 16 time Uganda Premier league champions as a free agent after his contract at Egyptian side Al-Ittihad Alexandria was terminated in July this year.
The defender left SC Villa in 2022 and joined the Egyptian outfit on a two year contract but his move only lasted for months.
Kizito featured for the senior men’s national team the Uganda Cranes in AFCON 2023 Qualification games. He rose through the ranks from the U-17, U-20 and U-23 set ups.
He joins other new recruits at SC Villa who are Elvis Ngonde, Abas Kyeyune, Denis Ojara, Charles Lwanga, Peter Onzima, Diego Ssemugera, Simon Mukisa and Goalkeeper Braddy Jeans Wokorach.
The record Uganda Premier league champions will kickoff their campaign against Kitara FC on Friday at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
