Mahatlane to leave Cricket Cranes coaching role

Cricket Cranes head coach Lawrence Mahatlane will leave his role when his contract expires in October.

The development was confirmed by the Uganda Cricket Association on Monday.

“The Association has decided not to renew the contract of the Cricket Cranes head coach Mahatlane, he will leave his role on 31st October, 2023 when his contract runs out.”

Mahatlane was appointed Cricket Cranes on a three year employment in 2020.

The South African tactician replaced Kenyan Steve Tikolo.

Meanwhile, the Uganda Cricket Association Chairman of the board Michael Nuwagaba will leave his role in October.

Alan Mugume also tendered his resignation and will remain on notice for three months until 11th December, 2023.
