The Quarterfinal stage of the 2023 Masaza Cup competition climaxed on Sunday with the return legs.
Gomba, Mawokota, Buddu and Bulemeezi progressed to the Semifinal of the prestigious competition.
All the semi-finalists have previously won the competition on multiple occasions.
Gomba are the record winners with five trophies, Mawokota have previously won it three times while Buddu and Bulemeezi have each won it twice.
In this year’s Semifinal stage, five time winners Gomba who eliminated Ssingo 4-1 on aggregate in the Quarterfinal will battle Buddu who prevailed 2-1 over Kyadondo.
Three time winners Mawokota will face two time champions Bulemeezi in the other Semifinal.
To reach the semis, Mawokota beat Buvuma 1-0 on aggregate during the two legged Quarterfinal while Bulemeezi stunned Buwekula 2-1 to advance.
Mawokota will be aiming at reaching the final for the first in ten years since Miya Farouk and Company.
The first leg contests will be played on Sunday 1st, October with Gomba hosting Buddu at Kabulasoke playground while Mawokota will battle Bulemeezi at Buwama.
The return legs are slated for 8th October at Masaka Recreation ground and Kasana playground.
