In the return leg, Khalifah’s troops needed first half goals from Phionah Nabulime and Agnes Nabukenya to complete a double over Mozambique.

Nabulime gave Queen Cranes an early lead in the sixth minute before Nabukenya doubled their advantage in the 19th minute.

Uganda’s win in the second leg may not have been as emphatic as their magnificent 6-0 first leg victory away from home but the gulf between the sides was certainly as wide.

Meanwhile, the Queen Cranes will face either Senegal or Benin in the next round.
