FUFA Big League leaders Police FC returned to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 victory against Kaaro Karungi at Kavumba Recreation grounds.
Isaac Ogwang and super substitute Herman Wasswa scored for Simon Peter Mugerwa’s men consolidating themselves on top of the table.
Ogwang put the Cops in the lead as early as the eighth minute off captain Samuel Kayongo’s well delivered cross.
Wasswa came in for Ogwang in the 82nd minute only to score in the last minute of the game off Kayongo’s delivery.
The win did not come on a silver platter despite a flattering scoreline as echoed by Police FC coach Simon Mugerwa.
“I would like to appreciate my players for the great performance. Kaaro Karungi were resistant but we remained composed which resulted in scoring the goals we wanted”.
