Former KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi has hinted Abdallah Mubiru would be a good replacement for Sergio Traguil at Lugogo.
KCCA FC expected big things from the current campaign, particularly after appointing Portuguese tactician Traguil and backing him with the signings of Kizza Mustafa, Joel Sserunjogi, Brazilians; Joao Gabriel, Vinicius Michael, and Angolans; Bruno Adilson Mfulu, Emilson Gonzaga, Cungulo Da Silva, Etienne Katenga and Emmanuel Peter Loki.
The Portuguese was however sacked last month after overseeing a turbulent start to the campaign, with the 13 time Uganda Premier league champions losing their opening four league games for the first time in the club’s history.
Mutebi who was appearing on NBS Press Box on Sunday evening distanced himself from returning to Lugogo.
The former KCCA FC tactician however hinted Mubiru would be his No 1 choice to replace Traguil at the club.
“KCCA FC should sign Coach Abdallah Mubiru because he knows the club.” Said Mutebi
In September this year, Mubiru turned down the Crested Cranes assistant coaching role and has previously managed at Mbeya City in Tanzania, Proline FC, Vipers SC, KCCA FC and Police FC.
The Kasasiro Boys are currently under the interim stewardship of Jackson Magera Kaddu and next host Vipers SC on Friday at Lugogo.
