The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has lifted the suspension on Express FC games.
The development was confirmed after the meeting between the FUFA Executive Committee, the Uganda Football Referees Association (UFRA) and the FUFA Referees Standing Committee (FRSC) that was held at FUFA House in Mengo.
Express FC games were suspended after hooligans beat assistant Referee Fahad Sekayuba following the 1-1 stalemate between UPDF FC and Express.
Following the incident, FUFA suspended Express FC game against SC Villa that was scheduled for 1st November at Muteesa II Stadium.
The Red Eagles short trip to Wakiso Giants that was slated for Saturday, 11th November.
According to FUFA,
the matches that were affected will be rescheduled by the organisers of the Competition.
FUFA Executive has also decided that the FUFA Judicial Processes and Government organs in relation to this matter continue for justice to prevail. If individuals or parties are found guilty, they will be sanctioned.
The Objective of the meeting was also to discuss matters on protection of the match officials and integrity of the game with the proper application of the Laws of the Game while corrective measures will be undertaken those who err.
FUFA also agreed to foot the medical bills of referee Sekayuba.
