The organisers of the 7th edition of Mutalaga Christmas Cup have revealed the round of 16 ties at the draw that was held at Nican Resort in Lweza.
The tournament attracted over 80 teams and has now reached the round of 16 stage.
The event is organized by Mutalaga Frank who revealed that the main reason for the annual tournament is to help young talented players showcase their talents
“We want to help young talented footballers to showcase their talents. Through this tournament we believe many players will develop their careers as well as winning several prizes.” Said Mutalaga
Mutalaga was also a key pillar in Bulemeezi’s 2023 Masaza Cup triumph.
The final of the 2023 Mutalaga Christmas Cup will be held on 25th December at Lweza Playground.
In the round of 16 draw that was conducted, DC United will battle Lweza Boys with the game slated for Tuesday, 14th November.
Sunday Special will entertain Apple Seed while Kajjansi Wembley will welcome Kajjansi Police.
St. Lawrence will play Horizon whereas holders South Africa will face Young Lions for a place in the Quarterfinal.
Umar Bajaj will take on Kibalaza while Hot Star FC will lock horns with Zzana Mixed.
