Uganda pitted against Tanzania and South Sudan in upcoming CECAFA U-18 Championship

Uganda has been drawn in Group B of the upcoming CECAFA U18 Boys Championship that will be held in Kenya later this month.

The tournament will kick off on 25th November and climax on 9th December 2023.

The draw was conducted by the CECAFA Competitions Director, Yussuf Mossi today at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, Uganda.

Uganda has been pitted alongside Tanzania, South Sudan and Zanzibar in Group B of the tournament.

Group A has hosts Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda and Sudan while Djibouti withdrew.

The Djibouti Football Federation (FDF) through their General Secretary Youssouf Ahmed communicated that they had withdrawn their team from the tournament after the draw was conducted.

The best two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the semi finals. The semi finals and the final will be played in Kisumu.

Group A : Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda, Sudan, Djibouti (withdrew November 15th)

Group B : Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Sudan, Uganda
