Uganda Boxing Champions League: Ssemuddu beats Zebra Jr in main fight of week 15

The Uganda Boxing Champions league returned over the weekend with week 15 held at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Saturday night.

The main fight was a lightweight fight between Muzamir Ssemuddu and Isaac Ssenyange Jr alias Zebra.

Ssemuddu prevailed to a 4-3 win over Zebra in what was a close contest between the two talented boxers.

Musician Zex Bilangilangi escorted Ssemuddu to the ring while Tanzanian singer T.I.D led Zebra.

In other fights, Mark Lukomagi stopped Rodger Mukiibi (KCCA) in the second round of the minimum 48Kg youth category while
Nkurunziza Brian of Kololo Boxing Club beat Matovu Shafick 4-1 as Matovu Livingstone from East Coast BC in Bantam weight 54Kgs.

Mawanda Shafick (Kalinabiri) cruised past Abdulhakim Habib 5-0 while Kasozi Frank prevailed 5-2 over Gayita Ronald.

Meanwhile, Gulu’s Lagum Rebecca beat COBAP’s Muduwa Brenda 4-1 to win the Light Fly ladies 50Kgs Youth category.

Ochama Destiny of Sparks Boxing Club smiled to a 5-0 unanimous win over Lukanga’s Mwagazi Ivan in the Featherweight 57 kgs Junior category.

Week 16 of the Uganda Boxing Champions league that is staged by UBF will resume on 2nd December, 2023 with the final slated for 26th of the same month.
