Kitara host NEC in bid to arrest 3 game winless streak

After falling to Maroons and BUL FC, impressive new comers Kitara will aim to bouncing back to winning ways after also drawing with URA FC in their previous 3 league matches.

NEC FC will also be looking for their first ever victory against Kitara FC as the two sides will be facing of at Masindi Stadium on Saturday 2nd December.

The two sides have met twice( in the FUFA Big League) last season and both meetings were won by Kitara FC 2-0 and 1-0.

Benjamin Nyakoojo is out with a long term injury layoff whereas Clinton Kamugisha is still on the treatment table.


Odong is the only player to miss out having sustained a knock in the previous game against Wakiso Giants.

Ssenyondo is building on the positives from the previous encounters to take on NEC,

“We had one of the lowest performances since the team started, we managed to pick just one point from the possible nine, however we have since picked our important lessons, we hope to take into the next match against NEC.”

Hussein Mbalangu the man in the dug out of NEC believes his side is more than ready for the encounter,

“We are more than ready for this tie and the motivation is so high, good enough we have been in Masindi for some good days.”

“Our opponents have not had a very good run in the previous three games but it is not an excuse, For us we are here to attack and never will we count on the past ties.”

Both teams have 16 points, Kitara are in third position while NEC are fourth.

Any of teams to emerge victorious will temporarily occupy second position that is currently occupied by Vipers SC who will play on Sunday 3rd against UPDF in Bombo.
