Soltilo Bright Stars and SC Villa played out to a 1-1 stalemate at Kavumba Recreation ground on Tuesday.
Nelson Senkatuka gave the hosts the lead in the 20th minute from a well converted penalty.
The referee awarded Bright Stars a penalty after Senkatuka was brought down by SC Villa defender Edward Masembe.
SC Villa levelled matters with five minutes to the halftime breather through Ivan Bogere after being fed by his skipper Kenneth Semakula.
In the second period, Kenneth Kiwanuka thought he had won it for the visitors but his goal in the 77th minute was cancelled through offside.
The result means SC Villa remain winless away from home this term while Bright Stars are now unbeaten in five games now.
SC Villa will next face Express FC on Friday this in the Kampala derby at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
