The Referees Disciplinary Panel (RDP) has handed assistant Referee Mr. Juma Osire a six months suspension.
Osire was the first assistant referee during the Uganda Premier league game between Vipers SC Vs Kitara FC at St. Mary’s Stadium on Thursday night.
Vipers SC prevailed 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Bright Anukani while Jude Semugabi scored for Kitara.
Osire cancelled Kitara’s equaliser in added time at Kitende for offside However, it appeared from the video footage of the incident that Dudu Ramathan and players from Kitara FC were in an offside position.
According to a statement from the FUFA Disciplinary panel,
“Osire is therefore suspended from officiating football at all levels for six months that comes into force immediately.”
“Following his repeated pattern of behavior, Mr. Osire is forwarded to the Investigatory Chamber of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.” Read a statement.
