Four Ugandan referees assigned for Morocco vs Ethiopia U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier

Four Ugandan female referees have been appointed to handle the U20 Women World Qualifier first leg between Morocco and Ethiopia.

The game will be played on Saturday 13th January 2024 at El Jadida Stade El Abidi in Morocco.

Shamirah Nabadda has been appointed as the center referee.

Nabadda will be assisted by fellow Ugandans Elizabeth Nassolo and Jane Mutonyi as her first and second assistants respectively.

Diana Murungi has been appointed as the fourth official.

They will be assessed by Tempa Ntdah François from Benin and the commissioner is Mervat Hussein Sadig from Sudan.

Both Morocco and Ethiopia will thereafter meet in the second leg to be played two weeks later in Addis Ababa.

The aggregate winning team between the two will automatically qualify for the U20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Colombia in August this year.

Uganda was eliminated from the tournament in the previous round after losing 2-1 on Aggregate against Senegal.
