Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC have terminated the employment contract of winger Abdul Lumala, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Lumala joined the Venoms at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two year employment contract.
This website can confirm that Lumala has been deemed surplus to requirements at Vipers. The Venoms have decided to terminate the winger’s contract with five months left.
He joined Vipers SC as a free agent following termination of his contract at Egyptian side Pyramids.
Lumala’s Vipers career was horrendously hit by injuries last season.
He leaves as a double winner following Vipers success last season under Alex Isabirye’s tenure.
Lumala has previously featured for Kalmar FF (Sweden) had a loan spell at Syrianska before joining Pyramids.
He joins Angolan midfielder Nzau Miguel Lutumba who also left the club after expiration of his contract.
Vipers SC have so far signed Moses Waiswa who returned to the club on a two year employment contract.
They are currently second on the Uganda Premier league table with 30 points and three adrift of leaders BUL FC.
