Turkish Women’s Super League side Trabzonspor Kadin Kulubu have announced the signing of Ugandan forward Violah Nambi Ssebunya.

Nambi joins Trabzonspor on a one year contract from Finland’s Aland United where she spent one and half seasons.

Nambi scored a total of 15 goals and provided eight assists in the 33 games she played for the Finnish club.

She comes with a wealth of experience having previously plied her trade in Italy, Sweden, Austria and most recently Finland.

Nambi previously played for Vaxjo DFF and Kalmar IF in Sweden, Dornbin Ladies in Austria, Napoli and CF Pomigliano in Italy.

She will be the second Ugandan to play for Trabzonspor after Joan Nabirye who featured for the Turkish side in the 2024/25 season.

Trabzonspor finished second on the league table last season with six points behind the eventual champions Fenerbehce SK.

Nambi’s arrival is expected to reinforce the team’s attack as they embark on the search for their second ever league title next season.
