The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) will on Tuesday 14th July, 2026 host a Media Engagement on Club Licensing at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
According to FUFA, the engagement is part of FUFA’s preparations for the 2026/27 season and will help to equip journalists with accurate information on the Club Licensing process and its role in professionalising football in Uganda.

FUFA states that the club Licensing is a key pillar of FUFA’s strategic plan aimed at improving club administration, infrastructure, and overall standards in Ugandan football.
The engagement will also provide journalists with first-hand updates on the criteria, timelines and requirements for the upcoming season, as well as the operational and legal implications for clubs and competitions.
Topics will include presentations on why Club Licensing matters in professionalising club football, the role of Club Licensing in building quality clubs, a sponsor’s perspective on Club Licensing, technical briefing on the 2026/27 season-criteria, timelines, sanctions, appeals process, and common pitfalls and the operational impact of Club Licensing on FUFA Calendar and competitions.
