KCCA FC power past Bright Stars to move out of relegation

KCCA FC returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win over Soltilo Bright Stars under the floodlights of Lugogo.

The 13 time Uganda Premier league champions came into this contest after a 2-1 away defeat to Mbarara City last week.

Usama Arafat headed the home side into the lead in th 37th minute off a quality Etienne Katenga cross.

Muhammad Shaban came close to doubling their lead at the stroke of halftime but his effort kissed the crossbar.

With 10 minutes to normal time, the KCCA FC forward found his goal and the eight of the current campaign.

In the 89th minute, second half substitute, Emmanuel Loki put the cherry on the icing of the cake with his maiden goal in the KCCA FC colours.

KCCA move out of the red zone after their third victory of the season and are now on 10 points in 11 games while Bright Stars remain 11th placed.

KCCA FC next travel to SC Villa on Friday, 22nd December.
