Former Vipers SC defender Asiku joins another UPL side

Wakiso Giants defender Bashir Asiku has completed a move to Gaddafi FC, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

Asiku has put pen to paper on a short term employment contract with Gaddafi FC and leaves Wakiso Giants after just months.

He joined the Purple Sharks in August last year but his time was interrupted by a five-game suspension in the first round when he was found guilty of attacking match officials during a match against URA in October.

The former Vipers SC defender is expected to bolster the club’s defensive department that also has new recruit Hassan Musana.

Asiku is a former St. Mary’s Kitende student who has previously featured for the national U17 and U20 teams.

Ayman Twaha alias Toure, the former captain of Buddu, who led the team to a commendable fourth-place finish in the Masaza Cup last season.

Ayman Twaha, Ivan Sserubiru, Hassan Musana, Rogers Kiwanuka and Jackson Wabuleta are the other new signings at Gaddafi.
