Sheif Batte completes move to Kenya Premier League side

Former Express and SC Villa striker Sheif Batte has joined Kenya Premier League side Sofapaka FC, Swift Sports has learnt.

Batte was a free agent after leaving Express FC during the January transfer window and signed for Sofapaka shortly before the Kenya mid-season transfer window closed on Thursday 8th February.

Batte joined Sofapaka alongside his former Express FC teammate Derrick Ngoobi who also joined the club on a two year contract.

Thomas Kakaire is another Ugandan who has also joined the Batoto Ba Mungu in the concluded mid-season window.

Batte is a tested player who has previously played for Soltilo Bright Stars, UPDF FC, Kyetume FC, Gaddafi FC, SC Villa and the Uganda Cranes as well.

He is expected to debut for the 2009 Kenya Premier League champions on Sunday afternoon as they visit Talanta FC.
