The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has on Friday, 16th February unveiled Zakayo as the official Match ball.
The ball was manufactured by new kits manufacturer Janzi and it will be the official match ball for all FUFA competitions and beyond.
“Our aim is to see every young child waking up playing football in the country. We shall make sure we make quality match balls in different sizes and they will be at an affordable price to every Ugandan.” This is our own ball and if everyone buys it we shall be able to bring more balls in the country. Said FUFA President Moses Magogo

The Ball has been named Zakayo in memory of Uganda’s legendary Chimpazee that passed on in 2018.
It has three patches of the Uganda flag that stand for ethnicity, Abundant Sunshine and Brotherhood.
Zakayo has been made with consideration of the latest trends in terms of texture, design, durability and flight.
The official match ball will be available on the market and can be purchased at the FUFA Merchandise Shop in Mengo (FUFA Complex) with each costing Shs100,000 and Shs50,000.
At the official launch, each Uganda Premier League Club was given 25 balls (20 for the Senior Team and 5 for the Junior Team).
Big League clubs also received 15 Balls while FUFA Women Super League clubs have also received 15 balls.
