Nine time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners SC Villa and 2022 champions BUL FC progressed to the round of 16 after victories over Synergy FC and Kyambura Rasters respectively.
SC Villa cruised to the last 16 after a comfortable 5-0 victory over Masaka based side Synergy FC at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Sunday.
Charles Lwanga gave the hosts the lead at the stroke of halftime before Hakim Kiwanuka doubled their advantage just after the recess.
Peter Onzima also registered his name on the score sheet in the 50th minute before Kiwanuka completed his brace in the 62nd minute
Reagan Mpande also netted his first goal for Dusan Stojanovic’s side.
Meanwhile, Abbey Kikomeko needed a late Lawrence Tezikya strike to prevail to the last 16.

With the game destinated for a penalty shootout, Tezikya won the match for the 2022 champions in added time.
Soltilo Bright Stars also edged Blacks Power 1-0 while Busoga United needed a 6-5 shootout win after a 1-1 stalemate in normal time to cruise into the last 16.
SC Villa, Busoga United, Bright Stars and BUL FC join holders Vipers SC, Express FC, KCCA FC, Kitara FC, Pajule Lions, Police FC and Young Simba FC into the last 16.
