Bobosi Byaruhanga returns to Austin FC

MLS Next Pro side Austin FC II have signed Uganda Cranes midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga on another loan deal.

Byaruhanga, was part of the Austin FC II squad that won the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro title, returns to the team on a one-year loan agreement from MFK Vyskov with an option to extend the loan through the end of the 2025 season.

During his first stint at Austin FC II, Byaruhanga made 26 appearances, scoring one goal and three assists as the team won the title in 2023.

He began his career with Vipers SC and was crowned the FUFA Male Player of the Year in 2021 before moving to Czech club MFK Vyskov in August 2022.

Meanwhile, Austin FC II has also acquired the services of defender Rubén Bonachera who joins from Wisła Kraków II.

He joins on a two-year guaranteed contract with an option of a renewal.

Austin FC II will begin their defense of the MLS NEXT Pro title at home against Tacoma Defiance on Friday, March 15th.
