Kitara issue statement on Jude Semugabi’s condition

Uganda Premier league table leaders Kitara FC have issued a statement on the current condition for their striker Jude Semugabi.

Semugabi was forced off during the narrow win over Wakiso Giants on Tuesday with a concussion and replaced by Frank Iga.

However according to the latest from the club indicates that Semugabi was discharged and the medical team will continue to monitor him.

“Our player Jude Ssemugabi was this evening evacuated off the pitch in an ambulance and rushed to Mirembe hospital in Masindi after he fell and lost consciousness during our Uganda premier league match against Wakiso Giants FC.”

“At the hospital, resuscitation was done plus other medical procedures and he stabilized. A scan was further done and nothing abnormal was detected on the internal organs.”

“Semugabi has been discharged and the club medical team will closely monitor him from home.” Read a statement from the club.

Kitara FC are currently top of the Uganda Premier league log with 39 points and will next return to action on Sunday with a Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 tie against SC Villa.
