The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars Monthly awards have named the winners for the month of February.
The winners were rewarded on Tuesday at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo.
Kitara FC striker Denis Omedi beat Muhammad Shaban (KCCA FC) and Joseph Dhata (NEC FC) to the football gong.
Omedi scored six goals in both the league and Stanbic Uganda Cup to clinch the accolade. His outstanding performances helped Kitara FC claim top spot in the league.
Emily Lekuru won the Rugby category gong after scoring 90 points for her club Black Pearls. She beat Ivan Kirabo and Syrus Watum to the accolade.
In Kabaddi, Douglas Mulalira emerged as the winner for February following his impressive performances. Mulalira scored 127 Rides Points as his clube Superior Kabaddi clinched the Uganda Kabaddi Champions League. His contributions also saw him being named as the tournament MVP in the Men’s category.
He beat Annet Kirembe and Rose Nankumba to the gong.
In Motorsport, the Rally team of Jas Mangat and his Co-driver Enock Olinga clinched the accolade after winning the Mbarara Rally championship.
They beat the Rally crew of Hassan Alwi and Jonas Kansiime to the February award.
The winners in the four categories were rewarded with awards and cash prizes courtesy of main sponsors Fortebet and Jude Color solutions.
