Uganda Premier league table leaders Kitara FC were held to a goalless draw at Maroons FC on Friday.
The stalemate saw Kitara FC fail to extend their lead at the top further after BUL FC FC failed to maximize points away to URA FC.
Maroons FC also missed a chance to become the first side to beat Kitara FC home and way this term having won the first round meeting 1-0 in Masindi.
Kitara’s in form striker Denis Omedi had his effort off a free kick hit the woodward.
Fred Amaku and Darius Ojok also came close to scoring for the hosts but could only force Kitara goalkeeper Crispus Kusiima into decent save.
Kitara stay top of the log with 40 points and a point above second placed BUL FC, who have a game in hand
Maroons FC are fourth on the table with 31 points they have garnered in 20 games.
