Baker Mbowa will begin his Express FC reign when they face off with arch-rivals SC Villa at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday.
Mbowa replaced Alex Isabirye Musongola as Express FC head coach on a two year employment contract and will be assisted by former Uganda Cranes player Sulaiman Mike Mutyaba.

This will be SC Villa’s first league game since their 1-1 stalemate to Kitara FC in February.
They had games against Vipers SC and BUL FC postponed due to having more than three players featuring for the National U-20 team.
Despite having players such as Cyrus Kibande, Hakim Mutebi, Abas Kyeyune and their starman Patrick Jonah Kakande featuring for the Hippos team at the ongoing All Africa Games in Ghana, the Jogoos decided to taken on Express FC.

SC Villa will also be without suspended duo of defenders Gavin Kizito Mugweri and Arnold Odong.
The Red Eagles will miss the services of Alpha Ssali who is with the Uganda Hippos while the trio of Andrew Kawooya, Abbey Muwanguzi, Marvin Oshaba and skipper Ramsey Kawooya are sidelined with respective injuries.

SC Villa Beat Express FC 2-1 in the reverse fixture last year in December and both sides are only separated by a single point with Dusan Stojanovic’s men sixth on 30 points from 17 games while the Red Eagles have 29 points and have played two more games than Villa.
