UPDF FC have completed a double over title chasing BUL FC after picking an emphatic 1-0 win over the Abbey Bogere Kikomeko coached side at Njeru.
Hussein Zzinda scored the all important goal to grab a crucial win as the Army Men intensify an enormous fight for survival.
BUL were once again a shadow of themselves as they struggled to take charge of the proceedings at their own backyard.
After a large barren spell, Zzinda broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute of the game following BUL FC’s failed clearance inside the box.

BUL FC were dealt a huge blow as striker Gerald Ogweti was sent off after hitting Samson Kasozi in an off ball incident in the 77th minute, five minutes after he had replaced Ibrahim Orit.
UPDF were also reduced to 10-men as Christopher Kawagu was sent off by referee William Oloya following a clash with BUL’s Benon Tahomera inside the fourth of the added six minutes.
BUL have once again missed a chance to go top of the table and stay second with 39 points from 20 games.
In fact, BUL have only won once in their last seven league games since the turn of the year, a form that casts more doubt on their title winning ambitions.
UPDF on the other hand, have won back to back games to move to the 14th place on 16 points, same number of points as 15th placed Busoga United who have an inferior goal difference.
BUL will take on SC Villa on Friday at Njeru while UPDF’s next game will be a trip to Kitende to take on Vipers on 5th April.
