SC Villa cruised to a 1-0 victory over BUL FC at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru on Friday.

David Owori netted the all important goal as the record Uganda Premier league champions secured maximum points away to BUL FC.

Owori struck for the visitors with five minutes to halftime breather after being fed by Ronald Ssekiganda.

SC Villa finished the game with a man less after following Gavin Kizito Mugweri’s red card.

Kizito sent off for keeping out a goal-bound header with his hands in the 58th minute of the contest.

Following the incident, BUL were awarded a penalty but Ibrahim Kazindula had his effort saved by Goalkeeper Brady Wokorach.

Wokorach was deservedly named man of the match for his saves as SC Villa registered their first victory away to BUL FC since 2017.

SC Villa are now fourth on the Uganda Premier league table with 36 points, seven adrift of leaders Kitara FC but with two games in hand.

Dusan Stojanovic’s men next host Mbarara City while BUL FC will travel to Kitara FC in the top of the table clash at Masindi on 29th March.
