Kizza inspires KCCA FC to maiden win over Vipers at Kitende

Mustafa Kizza scored a late penalty as KCCA FC completed a double over Vipers SC under the floodlights of Kitende on Friday.

Kizza came off the bench to fired Abdallah Mubiru’s side to their first ever win over the Venoms at Kitende.

KCCA were awarded a penalty after a handball from Siraje Sentamu in added time of the contest.

Allan Okello came close to scoring against his former paymasters but his effort was saved by KCCA FC custodian Anthony Emojong.

Early in the second period, Peter Lwasa had a decent chance to give KCCA FC the lead but his effort went inches wide.

With the game destinated for a stalemate, referee Ali Sabila awarded the KCCA FC a penalty in the third minute of added time after Sentamu’s handball.

Kizza was entrusted with the responsibility and calmly converted to silence the home fans.

Vipers are now fifth after defeat with 35 points and eight points adrift of leaders Kitara FC but with two games in hand.

KCCA FC are 8th with 29 points after 20 games and next host Busoga United on March 29th while Vipers SC next visit URA FC the following day.
