Mawokota Ssaza believe they can beat Buddu to the hiring of Steven Bogere as their new head coach.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Bogere has received an 11th hour “overture” from the three time Masaza Cup winners.
Buddu was viewed as Bogere’s favoured destination for the to 2024 Masaza Cup, having guided them to both the 2016 and 2021 triumphs.
It is now thought that Mawokota Ssaza team management is compelled to persuade him to change his mind to replace Richard Malinga.
Last week, Mawokota declared the head Coach, assistant and Goalkeeping coach roles as vacant and began receiving applications until Sunday, 24th March.
Mawokota are three time Masaza Cup winners following their success in 2005, 2007 and 2013.
Last year, they had their journey in the competition ended at the semifinal stage by eventual winners Bulemeezi.
