St. Mary’s Kitende leave it late against Light High School to win Zonal Qualifiers

Super substitute Arafat Nkoola’s goal was the difference as St Mary’s Kitende defeated Allan Galyaki’s Light High School Sseguku to emerge champions of Kitende Zone.

Nkoola scored in an empty net off Olimi’s Cross five minutes to full-time at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

The goal scorer came in as a substitute for Claude Makenge.

Chief guest Ronald Matovu who is the also the Head teacher Light High School Sseguku appreciated both sides for the great display and pleaded with them to give the best at the district qualifiers,

“I appreciate both sides for the good game displayed now this is done, go do the best in representing Kitende zone when time comes for the Wakiso District qualifiers.”

Ali Isabirye of Light High School Sseguku was named the Most Valuable Player(MVP).

The best goalkeeper was Denis Mugerwa of St Mary’s Stadium he played seven games and did not concede any goal.

The top scorer was Santos Mariel of St Mary’s Stadium, he scored 11 goals in seven goals.
