Ugandan Premier League side Busoga United are not only struggling to stay in the topflight division but also facing financial hardships.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that players at Busoga United have gone several months without receiving pay.

Reliable sources also reveal that majority of the players fail to turn up for training sessions with those who stay far away from Jinja training on their own.

Earlier last month, the club head coach Peter Onen resigned from the role after just months into the job and was replaced by Jessy Lukoki.

It remains to be seen if the Jinja based side will be able to overcome the current storm as soon as possible.

In their previous league game, Busoga United were humbled 4-1 by KCCA FC at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

They are currently 14th on the Uganda Premier league table with 17 points and will next host third placed SC Villa on Thursday.
