Vipers narrow gap with victory over UPDF

Vipers narrowed the gap on leaders Kitara FC with a 2-1 win over relegation threatened UPDF FC on Friday at Kitende.

Allan Okello and Eric Kambale scored in either half to fire the reigning champions to maximum points.

Okello netted his trademark goal after being fed by Kambale in the 10th minute.

Kambale doubled their advantage in the 54th minute firing home a brilliant Moses Waiswa pass.

Bright Vuni found a consolation for the army side in the 71st minute when he capitalized on a rebound after his header had been saved by custodian Jack Komakech.

Vipers SC head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi was once again absent.

Victory takes Vipers SC into second place with 41 points and three adrift of leaders Kitara, with two games in hand.

The army side on the other hand remain second from the bottom after suffering defeat.
