Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC are interested in signing out of contract NEC FC defender Patrick Bayiga, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Bayiga’s previous contract with NEC FC expired at the end of the just concluded season but this website can reliably confirm he could cross to the 13-time League champions.
NEC also don’t want to lose Bayiga with talks over a new two year deal ongoing but KCCA are closely monitoring the situation.
Bayiga joined NEC FC at the start of the 2024/25 season on a two year deal that expired this month.
Two clubs outside the country are also scrambling for Bayiga’s signature.
Before joining NEC FC, Bayiga had spent the last five seasons at Maroons FC having joined them at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Under the stewardship of Badru Kaddu Mukasa, NEC FC finished fifth on the Uganda Premier league table in the just concluded season with 53 points.
