Coach Livingstone Mbabazi is set to be appointed by Uganda Premier League club Gaddafi FC, Swift Sports reliably understands.

Mbabazi is set to be officially hired as part of the Gaddafi FC technical team ahead of the club’s crucial seven last games of the season.

The development comes after Mbabazi was reportedly dismissed by Vipers SC due to perpetual absenteeism from official club duties.

Consequently, the Venoms have appointed Fred Muhumuza as Richard Wasswa’s immediate assistant pending official communication.

Mbabazi was appointed as the Vipers head coach on January 1st as a replacement for Brazilian Leo Neiva who parted ways with the club on mutual consent.

Mbabazi’s reign has short-lived for only three months. He didn’t return to the club since he left for a burial of a family member on the eve of the game against URA FC, which eventually became the straw that broke the camel’s back.

He will be gladly welcomed by Gaddafi who are stuck in the relegation quagmire at the wrong part of the season.

Gaddafi, under coach David Mutono and his assistant Felix Ssekabuza, are winless in their last nine games. Their last win dates back to January 3rd when they stunned BUL FC 2-1 at the Gaddafi Arena.

The Soldier Boyz are 14th on the table with 18 points collected from 22 games played.
