Muhumuza begins training work at Vipers

Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club have confirmed the appointment of Fred Muhumuza as an assistant coach.

Muhumuza will work as the immediate assistant to Richard Wasswa Sseruyange.

Like earlier reported by this website, the Venoms decided to part ways with head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi due to his absenteeism.

Wasswa will guide the Kitende based side till the end of the current season.

Muhumuza previously served as interim head coach at URA FC following the demise of Sam Timbe.

The tactician was involved in the club’s training sessions on Sunday in preparation for the forthcoming league game against SC Villa on Tuesday.

He has also previously been in charge of Tooro Province in the FUFA Drum competition.

He holds a CAF B Coaching Licence, and is expected to get underway with immediate effect.

As a player, Muhumuza featured for Uganda Premier League side SC Villa and the now-defunct Victors FC.

Vipers SC are currently third on the Uganda Premier league table with 41 points and will next make a short trip to Wankulukuku where they will face SC Villa on Tuesday.

Baker Kasule Bakabulindi and Jose Esdras Costa Lopes are the other assistants.

Ali Kimera will remain as the Goalkeeping coach at the six time Ugandan champions.
