Vipers finally confirm Mbabazi’s departure

Vipers SC have confirmed the departure of their head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi.

Like earlier reported by this website, Richard Wasswa Sseruyange will take over as acting coach till the end of the season.

Vipers confirmed Mbabazi’s departure in a statement released on Monday

“We announce today that the decision has been taken to part company with our head coach Livingstone Mbabazi.”

“We thank Mbabazi for his contribution and wish him well for the future.”

“The search for a new head coach next season (2024/25) is underway and we will make a further announcement when that process is complete.” Read a statement

Mbabazi is expected to replace David Mutono at Gaddafi as they aim to beat the drop.

Wasswa will work with Jose Esdras Costa Lopez, Fred Muhumuza, Richard Kasule Bakabulindi & Ali Kimera (goalkeeping coach) as assistants.

Vipers are currently third on the Uganda Premier league table with 41 points will next make a short trip to Wankulukuku to face fourth placed SC Villa on Tuesday.
