URA FC are set to part ways with their head coach David Obua who is believed to have lost the confidence of the club board, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Sources have told this website that Obua has reached the point of no return, with the axe ready to fall whatever the outcome in the forthcoming games.
Obua has alienated players and staff with his divisive approach in recent months, and those in charge of the club have had enough.
URA have lost their previous two league games against Vipers SC and Express FC.
The tax collectors are now considering appointing Alex Isabirye Musongola as Obua’s replacement.
Obua was appointed as URA FC at the start of this season replacing Fred Muhumuza who working in the interim capacity following the death of Sam Timbe in August last year.
The former Uganda Cranes forward has had coaching stints with Maroons FC as assistant coach to George Nsimbe and also managed Lango Province in the 2022 FUFA Drum.
His contract at URA FC is due to expire at the end of this season.
URA FC are currently languishing in 9th on the Uganda Premier league table with 31 points.
